Welcome to the Sheffield & District branch of CAMRA - the Campaign for Real Ale. This website will keep you in touch with what is going on locally - click on the links below for information on branch socials, pub and brewery news and issues of interest, plus links to other useful websites.

CAMRA is a national consumer organisation with over 70,000 members, which campaigns on many issues that affects every drinker in the UK, as well as organising real-ale related social events such as beer festivals. The LocAle scheme has now been rolled out into Sheffield & District, promoting pubs that serve beers brewed within 20 miles of the bar. A launch event took place at the Ranmoor Inn and we are now in the process of accrediting pubs and delivering LocAle pump clip crowns and window stickers to the participating pubs.

It's as easy as ABC - The annual Beer Capital Survey

The Beer Capital Survey is an annual census of the choice of beers available, with several pub crawls taking place on the same day taking in as many real ale pubs as possible, noting the beer range and prices, helping prove Sheffield is indeed the Beer Capital of Britain.
