   ... a bit special

The Steel City Beer Festival, as with all CAMRA events, is organised, run and staffed entirely by members working on a voluntary, unpaid basis, who do it because they believe in, and enjoy being part of, the festival.

We are looking for CAMRA members like you to join the team of volunteers working at the beer festival and help make it a success.

Jobs include setting the site up from the Sunday when the fencing and marquee gets delivered, then once open the foyer, bars, membership stand, tombola all need staff to serve customers, we also need stewards to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Behind the scenes there are glass washers, cellar staff, first aiders, cleaners etc.

Then once it's all over, we have to take it all down and pack it away again!

Volunteer staff do not get paid, however they do get a free draught beer allowance and a staff t-shirt, depending on hours worked, and we also run a staff thank-you trip to socialise at a brewery after the event.
